Robert Looney

As CFO, Rob Looney oversees the financial strategy, planning, reporting, and operational finance at Westfield. Prior to this role, he served as Executive Vice President and CFO for Westfield Specialty from 2022 to 2024. With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, he brings extensive knowledge and a proven track record of success.

Before joining Westfield, Rob served as CFO and COO at AXIS Re. During his 12-year tenure there, he led financial planning, U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting, risk management, claims, IT, and capital allocation. Earlier in his career, Rob held investment banking leadership roles at KeyBanc Capital Markets and Advest Inc., focusing on mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and corporate governance for insurance and reinsurance clients. He also spent several years at PwC as a Senior Manager, specializing in insurance and reinsurance audits and consulting.

Rob holds a bachelor’s in accountancy from Villanova University and an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. He is also a dedicated volunteer with the Special Olympics.
