Krishna Patel leads the enterprise investment function at Westfield, guiding a talented team of professionals in managing a $6 billion investment portfolio. With a clear vision and focus on long-term value creation, Krishna ensures the investment strategy supports Westfield’s business growth while stabilizing earnings through strong investment income.
Under Krishna’s leadership, the investment team has been restructured to drive enterprise alignment, foster collaboration, and improve decision-making agility. He has modernized investment policies to navigate evolving regulatory landscapes, including guidance from the Federal Reserve and ODI, and has seamlessly integrated investment oversight for Westfield’s international specialty business.
With more than two decades at Westfield, Krishna’s expertise extends beyond investments. He previously served as a senior reserving and capital allocation analyst in actuarial, building a robust foundation in financial strategy and risk management. Before joining Westfield, Krishna held roles as a financial analyst at Paramount Capital in New York and as a business development manager at Jaipan International in Mumbai.
As a respected voice in the industry, Krishna serves on the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA) Investment Subcommittee, where he advocates for investment issues impacting the insurance sector. He also represents Westfield on advisory boards for alternative investments, ensuring protection of investor interests while enabling innovation in a fast-moving industry.
Krishna earned his MBA in Investments and Finance from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Mumbai University. A lifelong learner, Krishna holds multiple prestigious designations, including CFA, FRM, CAIA, and CMT, reflecting his deep expertise and commitment to excellence.
