The full impact of the loss . . . you know, it didn't really hit us until the next day. Standing outside what was left of our house, we knew we'd have to rebuild. But, we had home insurance, so we could handle it, right? Wrong. When we added the extra bedroom, we knew we were improving the value of our home, but we didn't think about how that would impact our insurance. Yeah, we're rebuilding. But it's going to cost us a lot more than we expected. In fact, we'll be paying out of pocket for that extra bedroom - again.
